    Dr. Scott Kay
    Chiropractor

I have been involved with Chiropractic my entire life. I received my first adjustment when I was 9 months old. Chiropractic is something that always made sense to me. I knew that if my nervous system was functioning properly that I would be healthier. I remember anytime that I caught a cold I would ask my mother to take me to the chiropractor.

I decided to make Chiropractic my career goal when I was 12 years old. I remember getting my first course calendar from the Chiropractic college when I was in grade 7 and never once considered doing anything else.

I graduated from Saunders Secondary School in London, went on to complete my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto and then four years at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I am also a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor.

While at chiropractic college I served as the School Athletic Director for a year and was voted Student Council President in my last year.  I received the Graduating Athlete Award and the Presidents Award awarded by the President of the College to one student who, in addition to having obtained a high academic and clinical standing, has made an outstanding contribution to college life over four years.

Upon graduation I took over the practice of Dr. George Carter in Ridgetown and practiced there for eleven years.

I still am active in hockey and have a passion for golf.

I feel that I am incredibly blessed to be able to help people achieve their health goals and live healthier lives. I do not see the practice of a chiropractor being a passive thing but more of a coach and partner who tries to give people strategies to maximize their health potential.

    Dr. Jeff Harris
    Chiropractor (Pediatric & Family)

I have always been interested in the health and wellness of the human body.  During my studies at the University of Waterloo I knew I would have a career in a health field.  At first I was at a loss, because I was looking for a way to help people, to increase their health, and to be active part in educating how to live their life at an optimal level.  At the same time I was fascinated with the nervous system and how it controlled every single process in our body.  I wanted to be hands on, discovering the cause, and using the natural healing powers of our bodies.  I soon fell in love with possibility of being a chiropractor and helping people in exactly the way I had always dreamed of.

Today I have reached that dream and I love being a chiropractor.  I wake up everyday excited to go to work and see the amazing difference that chiropractic has offered yet another patient in our office.  Everyday we deliver hope, and allow the opportunity for each of our patients a pathway to experience optimal health.

My primary focus and passion in my office is pediatric and family wellness chiropractic.  I have completed post graduate training in paediatrics to help families live with an optimally function nervous system to allow their bodies to heal more efficiently.  The specific neurologically based care allows us to get the highest level of results in these areas, while maintaining incredible safety and satisfaction.

I was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario.  After completing high school I was on my way to the University of Waterloo to complete my bachelor of science degree.  My studies then brought me to St. Louis where I attended Logan College of Chiropractic.  After graduating in December of 2002, I picked up and moved to Cincinnati where I practiced for just under 2 years.  In June of 2004 I moved back to Canada and started my own chiropractic practice in London at Partners In Health on the corner of Commissioners & Adelaide.  As of February 2006, I expanded and moved my office to partner with the Kay Chiropractic & Wellness Centre.  I look forward to many more years of serving the health needs of the community of London.

Since the birth of my two amazing children (2011, 2013) I have dedicated myself to helping kids live to their optimal potential.  I always loved helping kids but after having my own I knew I needed to dive deep into the study of pediatric chiropractic.  As of June 2013 I have completed my post grad training primarily focused on family and pediatric care.  My focus revolves around what has been termed the 'Perfect Storm' and in short this is a confluence of events from pregnancy, birth, and childhood that is in my opinion causing the epidemic of health problems in our children today.  We see children literally from birth (1-2 days old) and through all the stages of childhood.  Today I am loving practice more than ever and loving the results we are seeing with our pediatric patients everyday.

    Chiropractor

When deciding which career path to pursue, I knew two things: I wanted to work in a diverse environment and I wanted to have an impact on people every day.

For years I believed I would be a physical education teacher. This would allow me to have an impact on individuals each day while also allowing me to pursue my love for athletics and sport.

While completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at The University of Western Ontario I began to accumulate a growing body of knowledge about the human body and the nervous system. It did not take long for me to realize that Chiropractic would allow me to maximize my career objectives while still allowing me to undertake a teaching role.

In 2008 I began my post graduate education at The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. My four years at the college allowed me to develop a growing body of knowledge about the art, philosophy and science of chiropractic. In 2009 I was fortunate enough to take part in a cross Canada cycling trip known as “Unleash Your Potential” which was geared towards educating the Canadian youth about the benefits of chiropractic and making healthy lifestyle choices from an early age.

Other highlights of my time at CMCC included being awarded the Dee Istrati Kritianson Memorial Award for academics, leadership and volunteer service to the profession and 4 years of playing with the CMCC men’s hockey team.

With studies complete, I have moved back to my hometown of London and look forward to practicing as a member of Kay Harris Chiropractic. I could not be happier to be a part of such an amazing profession. Chiropractic allows me to utilize natural methods to help patients reach their true health potential.

    Registered Massage Therapist

I have been an RMT for 13 years.  I graduated from Algonquin college in Ottawa in 2002. I love being a massage therapist, and it truly took years for it to even feel like I was working.  Because I am helping people and doing something I love it has never felt like 'work'. I feel blessed that I have a job that I look forward to going to each day.

I was born in Northern Ontario and moved to Ottawa when I was 19. There I attended massage therapy school and began my career as am RMT. I moved to London a year after I graduated and have been here ever since. My family and I moved to Byron 3 years ago and I have loved living in the community. So when an opportunity came up to work here in Byron as well I was eager to take it.

Even before I had my own children I knew that treating women during their pregnancies was something I wanted to be doing.  I truly believe that everyone benefits from massage therapy, but that during your pregnancy it is especially beneficial to your ever changing body.  So my first post graduate study was pre-natal massage. My experience with this type of massage has been amazing and I've learned so much over the years from all the mothers that I've treated.

I am excited to become part of the Kay Harris team and look forward to meeting both new and existing clients of the clinic.
